These handy little tools are useful for threading needles. They are compact (1.8 inches long x 1 inch tall) and easy to toss in a notions tin or bag. And, it has a bonus use! The gap at the back of the neck where the wing attaches has a thread cutter!

To use, rotate the clear plastic cover off of the "beak". Then put the wire beak through the eye of the needle. Towards the tip of the wire beak you will see a notch to catch a thread. Place the thread in the notch and take the needle off of the beak. Viola! A threaded needle! Cover the beak when not in use.
